PowerTrove for Windows

Select.Alt+SpaceDone.

A small tool for your Windows desktop. It sees what you have selected and offers just the actions that fit: convert, merge, pack. Local, keyboard-first, no detour through another app.

Animation: two images and a PDF are selected with a box, Alt + Space opens PowerTrove, typing “combi” filters to “Combine into one PDF”, Enter previews and Enter again creates combined.pdf.

Context decides

PowerTrove only shows what fits.

Images get image actions, PDFs get PDF actions. Select images and PDFs together and it offers to combine them into one PDF. No menu with forty entries where thirty-eight have nothing to do with your selection.

Examples. What is available depends on installed packs and local engines. Browse all 124 actions →

Before anything writes files, you see what will be created.
Out of the way
No window to manage, no app to switch to. PowerTrove appears, does its job and disappears.

Questions

Good to know.

Can I download PowerTrove today?

Yes. PowerTrove is available as a public alpha for Windows 11 x64, as an installer or a portable ZIP. The alpha is not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may warn before it starts. The download page lists the file and its SHA-256 checksum.

Does PowerTrove upload my files?

Core workflows run locally. This website’s interactive demo uses illustrative examples and never opens or uploads your files. Desktop downloads are a separate, explicit action.

Which apps and files are supported?

PowerTrove uses typed context providers. File Explorer selections and supported table selections expose different actions. Availability also depends on installed packs, codecs and local processing engines.

Can anyone publish a plugin?

The developer workflow is being built. Initially, community packs will require source and package review, isolated checks and a separate signing process before distribution. A signature is not a guarantee that arbitrary code is safe.

Is the project open source?

Yes. The desktop app is open source under the Apache 2.0 license and developed publicly on GitHub. The website platform is developed separately.
